We are happy to announce that on April 19, 2006, the Eugene Film Festival was awarded a $5,000 Tourism Special Projects grant from the Lane County Parks Department. These funds were used for support of the website and film entry recruitment from all over the world, out of Eugene area advertising, and related marketing and promotional materials. We are grateful for the acknowledgement and confidence of the Lane County Parks Department for the Eugene Film Festival reflected by the receipt of this grant.

Eugene Film Festival: Who We Are

The EFF is composed of the following screenwriters, filmmakers, artists, and various other folk, all of whom feel compelled to bring to Eugene a grand celebration of independent film and video from all over, and to give what help we can to filmmakers in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere:

Anne Awh, Art Director, Webmaster, Recycling Coordinator

An animator, illustrator, and artist, Anne wants to give Eugene, Oregon, yet another reason to celebrate being her favorite city in the world and is thrilled to be involved in creating a film festival for all to enjoy.

Ed Capelle

Ed Capelle has 25 years combined experience in the entertainment and large-format (LF) film industries.  He currently is president and CEO of a consulting firm that provides strategic planning, and operational services to the LF theater, film production and distribution industries.

Mike Dilley, Director

Mike has over 25 years of experience in film production including production development/packaging; television, theatrical, home video and project management.  He is a past President of the Mid-Oregon Production Arts Network (MOPAN) and past Honorary Governor of the San Francisco Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.  He began his career in the music business, is a voting member of The Grammy Awards and is presently active in the production of feature films.

Thaddeus Konar, Film Submissions and Film Presentations Coordinator

Thaddeus Konar (thaddeuskonar.com) has done many things in his life. He has an art degree, computer science degree, and master of education degree. After spending his childhood in Poland and USSR and eventually forced to emigrate, he lived in many countries and in many places in US, eventually settling (and loving it) in Oregon in 1981. His work experience is also varied. He was a sculptor, painter, truck driver, stonecutter, monument maker, businessman, engineer, college instructor, photographer, writer, and filmmaker. He worked as an engineer for US Navy (2 years) and Hewlett-Packard (21 years).

Since 1999 Thaddeus teaches Computer Science at the Lane Community College. His movie FOOD received the audience choice award at DIVA's Open Lens 2004. Thaddeus recently finished writing his first stage play 'Hard Knox' and is working on the part of Oregon Screenwriters collaboration Hotel Shorts.
